Shipping & Payment Information

Order processing, shipping, delivery, and payment information

Effective date: September 22, 2026

This Shipping & Payment Information Policy applies to purchases made from Second Signet LLC through https://secondsignet.com. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions and should be read together with our Return Policy and Privacy Policy.

1. Order Processing

Orders are generally processed within one to three business days after payment is authorized and any required purchaser verification is completed.

Business days do not include Saturdays, Sundays, federal holidays, or days on which Second Signet or the applicable shipping carrier is closed.

Processing time is separate from carrier transit time. An order may require additional processing because of:

  • Payment review.
  • Address verification.
  • Purchaser, age, identity, or research-purpose verification.
  • Inventory availability.
  • Unusual quantities, order values, or purchasing patterns.
  • Suspected fraud, unauthorized payment activity, or payment abuse.
  • Regulatory or compliance concerns.
  • Product, pricing, labeling, or documentation discrepancies.
  • Severe weather, carrier interruptions, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Submitting an order does not guarantee acceptance or shipment. Second Signet may hold, limit, cancel, or refund an order as permitted by our Terms & Conditions and applicable law.

2. Shipping Destinations

Second Signet currently ships only to eligible addresses within the 48 contiguous United States and Washington, D.C., where shipment is available and legally permitted.

We do not currently ship to:

  • Alaska.
  • Hawaii.
  • United States territories.
  • International destinations.
  • Freight-forwarding or mail-forwarding services outside our approved shipping area.

Orders submitted with an unsupported destination may be canceled and refunded.

The availability of checkout or a shipping rate does not guarantee that a particular product may legally be purchased, possessed, received, stored, handled, transferred, or used in every jurisdiction.

Second Signet may decline or cancel shipment to any destination that is unavailable, restricted, unverifiable, or presents a legal, regulatory, carrier, fraud, safety, or compliance concern.

Purchasers are responsible for determining whether they may lawfully purchase, receive, possess, store, handle, transfer, and use the products in their jurisdiction.

3. Standard Shipping and Rates

Standard shipping is a flat $15 per order to eligible addresses within the 48 contiguous United States and Washington, D.C.

Second Signet does not currently offer free shipping.

Standard shipping generally has an estimated carrier transit time of three to seven business days after the order has been processed and transferred to the carrier. This is an estimate and is not a guaranteed delivery date.

We may use USPS, UPS, FedEx, or another suitable carrier based on the destination, package characteristics, service availability, order value, and other operational considerations.

The carrier shown during checkout, if any, may represent the expected or preferred carrier. Second Signet may select an equivalent carrier or service when reasonably necessary, provided that doing so does not materially reduce the expected service level purchased by the customer.

Expedited or second-day shipping is not currently offered unless Second Signet expressly agrees to it in writing before shipment.

4. Tracking, Insurance, Signature, and Delivery Safeguards

Tracking will be provided for shipped orders.

Second Signet may require or add insurance, signature confirmation, identity verification, adult signature, restricted delivery, or another reasonable delivery safeguard for an unusual, high-value, high-risk, or fraud-sensitive order.

Second Signet may add these safeguards without changing the customer’s shipping charge. If an additional customer payment would be required, Second Signet will contact the purchaser before shipment. The purchaser will not be charged an additional amount without authorization.

If suitable delivery safeguards cannot be arranged, Second Signet may hold or cancel the affected order and issue the applicable refund.

A purchaser may not waive a safeguard that Second Signet or the carrier determines is reasonably necessary for the order.

5. Order Verification

Second Signet may verify an order before shipment. Verification may include:

  • Confirming billing and shipping information.
  • Contacting the purchaser by email or telephone.
  • Confirming purchaser age or identity.
  • Confirming institutional, laboratory, university, business, or research affiliation.
  • Requesting information about the intended research application.
  • Confirming that the purchase is solely for lawful in vitro laboratory or analytical research.
  • Reviewing payment, account, device, address, transaction, or order information for fraud or compliance concerns.

Orders that cannot be satisfactorily verified may be held, limited, canceled, or refunded.

Providing false, incomplete, inconsistent, or misleading information may result in order cancellation, account suspension, or refusal of future service.

6. Address Accuracy

Purchasers are responsible for providing a complete, accurate, and deliverable shipping address during checkout.

Review the shipping address carefully before submitting an order. If you discover an error, contact Second Signet immediately through the Contact Us page or at info@secondsignet.com. Include the order number and corrected address.

Address changes are not guaranteed after an order has been submitted. Second Signet generally cannot change or redirect an order after it has been transferred to the carrier.

Except where applicable law provides otherwise, the purchaser may be responsible for reasonable losses, delays, reshipping expenses, address-correction fees, return charges, or other expenses caused by an inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or undeliverable address supplied by the purchaser.

7. Tracking Information

A shipping confirmation containing the tracking number will be sent to the email address associated with the order or made available through the purchaser’s account.

Tracking information may take up to 24 hours after shipment to appear or update in the carrier’s system.

Creation of a shipping label does not necessarily mean that the carrier has received or scanned the package. An order is considered transferred to the carrier when the carrier accepts or scans the shipment, not merely when a label is created.

Purchasers are responsible for monitoring tracking information and promptly addressing delivery exceptions, access problems, signature requirements, or carrier requests.

8. Shipping Delays and Delivery Estimates

Estimated shipment and delivery dates are estimates unless Second Signet expressly states that a date is guaranteed.

Delivery may be delayed because of weather, carrier interruptions, holidays, inspections, address problems, service disruptions, natural disasters, security events, or other circumstances outside Second Signet’s reasonable control.

If Second Signet cannot ship an order within the represented processing period, we will provide any notice, revised shipment estimate, cancellation opportunity, or refund required by applicable law.

When legally required, the purchaser will be given the choice to:

  • Consent to the revised shipment date; or
  • Cancel the unshipped order and receive a full and prompt refund to the original payment method.

Second Signet will not substitute store credit for a legally required refund unless the purchaser affirmatively agrees to receive store credit.

Carrier delays occurring after the package has been transferred to the carrier do not automatically qualify an order for a refund or replacement. Second Signet will reasonably assist with eligible carrier inquiries and claims.

9. Packages Marked Delivered but Not Received

If tracking states that a package was delivered but the purchaser cannot locate it, the purchaser should:

  1. Confirm that the shipping address on the order is correct.
  2. Check the mailbox, parcel locker, porch, garage, building office, reception area, and other possible delivery locations.
  3. Ask household members, employees, neighbors, or building personnel whether they accepted the package.
  4. Allow one full carrier business day because some packages may be scanned shortly before final delivery.
  5. Contact the carrier and request a delivery inquiry.
  6. Notify Second Signet through the Contact Us page or at info@secondsignet.com within three calendar days after the recorded delivery date.

A carrier’s delivered scan is evidence of delivery, but Second Signet will review a timely claim using the available tracking, address, delivery, account, communication, and transaction information.

A report of nonreceipt does not automatically entitle the purchaser to a refund or replacement.

Second Signet may require:

  • Completion of a carrier delivery inquiry.
  • A written statement from the purchaser.
  • Identity or address verification.
  • Confirmation from household or building personnel.
  • A police report or other reasonable documentation for repeated or high-value claims.

Any replacement or refund will be determined after reasonable review and in accordance with applicable law. Store credit may be offered but will not replace a refund when a refund is legally required.

10. Lost Packages

A package is not considered lost merely because tracking is delayed or has not recently updated.

If tracking shows no movement beyond the expected delivery period, the purchaser should contact the carrier and notify Second Signet through the Contact Us page or at info@secondsignet.com.

Second Signet may initiate or assist with a carrier search or claim. The purchaser must reasonably cooperate and provide information required for the investigation.

If the carrier confirms that a shipment was lost before delivery, Second Signet will provide an appropriate replacement or refund, subject to applicable law and product availability. Store credit may be provided only with the purchaser’s agreement when a refund is otherwise required.

Repeated lost-package claims associated with the same purchaser, account, address, payment method, device, household, or delivery location may require additional verification or restricted delivery options for future orders.

11. Damaged, Leaking, Defective, or Incorrect Shipments

Inspect the shipment promptly after delivery.

If an order arrives damaged, leaking, visibly defective, or incorrect, contact Second Signet through the Contact Us page or at info@secondsignet.com within three calendar days after delivery.

The claim should include:

  • The order number.
  • A description of the problem.
  • Clear photographs of the shipping box or mailer.
  • Photographs of the shipping label.
  • Photographs of the internal packaging.
  • Photographs of each affected item, vial, container, label, and visible lot or batch information.

Keep the product, vial, packaging, shipping materials, and carrier label until the claim is fully resolved.

Do not use, alter, open, reconstitute, relabel, transfer, discard, or return an affected product unless Second Signet provides instructions.

A carrier or insurer may require inspection of the original packaging and contents. Failure to preserve the materials or provide reasonably requested documentation may prevent Second Signet or the carrier from completing the claim, except where prohibited by law.

Approved claims will be handled according to the Return Policy and may result in a replacement or refund. Store credit may be offered with the purchaser’s agreement.

The three-day reporting request does not eliminate any non-waivable right provided by applicable law.

12. Returned, Refused, and Undeliverable Packages

A package may be returned to Second Signet because of:

  • An inaccurate or incomplete address.
  • Refusal by the recipient.
  • Failure to claim or collect the package.
  • An inaccessible delivery location.
  • Repeated failed delivery attempts.
  • Failure to provide a required signature.
  • A carrier restriction.
  • Failure to complete required verification.

If a package is returned, Second Signet will inspect it and contact the purchaser when reasonably possible.

Reshipment is not automatic. The purchaser may be required to provide a corrected address, complete verification, and pay reasonable additional shipping or carrier charges before reshipment.

Where a refund is permitted, Second Signet may deduct reasonable original shipping charges, return charges, address-correction expenses, and other nonrefundable costs caused by purchaser-provided information or failure to accept delivery, except where prohibited by law.

Products that cannot be safely, appropriately, or lawfully returned to inventory may not qualify for resale or a discretionary refund.

Applicable non-waivable consumer rights remain unaffected.

13. Cancellations and Address Changes

Cancellation or address-change requests must be submitted through the Contact Us page or at info@secondsignet.com as soon as possible.

Include the order number and the requested change.

Second Signet will attempt to accommodate a cancellation or address change before shipment, but completion cannot be guaranteed.

An order generally cannot be canceled, redirected, or modified after it has been transferred to the carrier. The purchaser should not refuse delivery unless instructed by Second Signet.

Second Signet may cancel an unshipped order for inventory, payment, pricing, verification, fraud-prevention, legal, regulatory, safety, carrier, or compliance reasons.

If Second Signet cancels an order after payment has been collected, the amount charged for the canceled item or order, including any applicable shipping charge for an entirely canceled and unshipped order, will be refunded to the original payment method.

14. Packaging

Orders are generally shipped in plain external packaging.

Packages and shipping labels may contain information required by law, the carrier, payment provider, insurer, or applicable safety requirements.

Second Signet does not guarantee completely anonymous or unidentifiable packaging.

Products are packaged using methods reasonably selected for ordinary domestic transportation. Packaging does not establish that a product is sterile, pharmaceutical-grade, suitable for injection, or appropriate for human or animal use.

15. Temperature and Storage During Transit

Unless a product listing expressly states otherwise, Second Signet does not provide validated cold-chain transportation or continuous temperature monitoring.

Second Signet does not guarantee that a shipment will remain within a specific temperature range during transportation.

Purchasers whose research requires validated temperature-controlled transportation must contact Second Signet before ordering to determine whether an appropriate service is available. An order should not be placed based on an assumption that temperature-controlled shipping will be provided.

Upon receipt, inspect the shipment and store products according to the product-specific label, applicable analytical documentation, and established laboratory procedures.

Do not assume that general statements about lyophilized materials apply to every product, formulation, salt form, mixture, container, or lot.

16. Transportation and Restricted Materials

Second Signet may review products, quantities, packaging, destinations, carrier requirements, and available safety information before shipment.

Second Signet may refuse, separate, delay, repackage, or cancel a shipment when reasonably necessary to comply with transportation, carrier, safety, legal, regulatory, or compliance requirements.

No statement in this policy represents that every product in the Second Signet catalog has the same transportation classification.

Transportation classification may depend on the product’s identity, form, concentration, quantity, packaging, available safety information, destination, and applicable transportation rules.

17. Payment Information

Second Signet accepts the payment methods displayed during checkout or provided through authorized payment instructions.

Available payment methods may change without notice.

Payment must be authorized before an order is processed or shipped. By submitting payment, the purchaser represents that:

  • The payment information is accurate.
  • The purchaser is authorized to use the selected payment method.
  • Billing and contact information is complete and current.
  • The transaction is being made for a lawful purpose consistent with the Terms & Conditions.
  • The purchaser is not attempting to evade verification, order limits, or other restrictions.

Prices are displayed in United States dollars unless the Website expressly states otherwise.

Applicable taxes and shipping charges are calculated or displayed during checkout when available.

Second Signet may hold or cancel transactions involving:

  • Declined payments.
  • Inconsistent billing, shipping, or account information.
  • Suspected fraud or unauthorized payment activity.
  • Chargeback abuse.
  • Purchaser-verification concerns.
  • Unusual transaction patterns.
  • Legal, regulatory, or compliance concerns.

If payment has been captured for an order that Second Signet later cancels, the applicable refund will be issued to the original payment method.

18. Refund Timing

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method unless applicable law or the payment provider requires another method.

Processing time after a refund is issued depends on the payment provider and the purchaser’s financial institution. Second Signet does not control how quickly a financial institution posts a refund.

Original shipping charges are generally nonrefundable after an order has been shipped, except when required by law or when Second Signet determines that the entire order qualifies for reimbursement under the Return Policy.

If an entirely unshipped order is canceled by Second Signet, or canceled by the purchaser because Second Signet cannot ship within the required or represented period, all amounts charged for that order, including the applicable shipping charge, will be refunded.

19. Payment Disputes

If the purchaser believes a charge or order is incorrect, unauthorized, damaged, lost, or undelivered, the purchaser should contact Second Signet promptly through the Contact Us page or at info@secondsignet.com.

Nothing in this policy limits a non-waivable right to dispute a transaction under applicable law or payment-provider rules.

When responding to a payment dispute, Second Signet may provide the payment provider with relevant:

  • Transaction records.
  • Purchaser representations and checkout confirmations.
  • Customer communications.
  • Account and order information.
  • Tracking records.
  • Delivery confirmation.
  • Verification records.
  • Photographs and claim documentation.

Fraudulent payment activity, false claims, or chargeback abuse may result in order cancellation, account suspension, refusal of future service, or other lawful action.

20. Research-Use Shipping Notice

All products offered by Second Signet are shipped and sold exclusively for lawful in vitro laboratory, analytical, and scientific research.

Products are not intended for human or animal use, consumption, administration, injection, diagnosis, treatment, mitigation, cure, or prevention of any disease or medical condition.

Acceptance or delivery of a shipment does not authorize a prohibited use.

Purchasers remain responsible for lawful receipt, inspection, storage, handling, research use, transfer, recordkeeping, and disposal.

Product appearance, packaging, vial type, shipping method, analytical testing, or delivery does not establish that a product is sterile, safe, effective, approved, or suitable for human or animal administration.

Second Signet is not a pharmacy, compounding pharmacy, healthcare provider, veterinary provider, or medical laboratory. Products are not offered as medications, compounded preparations, dietary supplements, foods, cosmetics, or consumer products.

21. Policy Changes

Second Signet may update this policy prospectively to reflect changes in shipping destinations, rates, carriers, business practices, payment methods, or legal requirements.

The version applicable to an accepted order will generally be the version posted when the order was submitted, except when a change is required by applicable law.

The effective date at the top of this page identifies the most recent revision.

22. Contact Second Signet

Questions, cancellation requests, or claims concerning shipping, delivery, or payment should be submitted through the Contact Us page at:
